SCOTT GLAZIER

Scott Glazier’s innovative work has its foundations in figurative drawing and alla prima painting. His work has recently shown at the Armory Northwest in Pasadena, AndLab, the Chouinard Institute, and was featured in “Unsuitable” a film by Elsewhere Productions. His evocative style has attracted the attention of many private collectors, such as the current Illinois state senator, New Regency Films and the Monte Carlo Hotel in Las Vegas. He is very active in charity organizations, donating his work for auction to the Make a Wish Foundation, Toys for Tots, and the Lineage Dance Company in Pasadena. Auditing classes in New York at the Art Students League, Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and Chicago’s Palette and Chisel have inspired his work and allowed him to develop his own teaching style. The feel of Scott’s work is likened to sailing. An avid sailor, he is on the quest to harness the wind and use it before it is gone, just as he does with the emotion, movement, and gesture of the model.
